In his role as manager, Mr. Vandevort's responsibilities focus on chemical product stewardship and the safe use of products for industry consortia. He prepares industry communications and performs various administrative duties and website maintenance. Besides administrative and management services, Mr. Vandevort provides a variety of important services for consortia clients. He helps develop and expand product stewardship and advocacy programs, develops and conducts communications outreach to government entities, and is a proven asset in facilitating membership retention and growth. He managed CPI committees that addressed building codes and standards, energy efficiency, combustibility, recycling and sustainability, and other technical and regulatory issues. He developed comments to federal agencies, position papers, technical bulletins, and guidance materials on critical industry issues.

After earning his BS at the University of Maryland, College Park, he returned to the University as the Assistant Coordinator for the Mid-Atlantic Water Program, where he served as a Co-Project Director and provided key support in developing and implementing new processes to improve organization and management procedures.
